Job Description

The Recruitment & Development Administrator supports the smooth operation of systems and processes within the Recruitment & Development team. The role assists with recruitment processes, crew familiarization, career planning and development for a pool of over 3,500 seafarers. The role offers opportunities to contribute to projects and initiatives related to mental health awareness and training facilitation. Working closely with the Recruitment & Development Officer and reporting to the Marine Personnel Processes & Applications Supervisor, this position helps foster talent, promote engagement, and support workforce development.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in human resources, ideally within a shipping company or a high-volume, fast-paced environment managing HR operations, systems administration, training, and mental health initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in management fields or shipping is required
  • Post-graduate degree in human resources or organizational psychology is a strong asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different nationalities; prior working experience with Eastern European and Far Eastern nationalities is considered an asset
  • High diligence; Excellent coordination skills with strong attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset to measure, evaluate, and enhance processes
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and manage last-minute changes
  • Accountability, sense of ownership of tasks, and ability to follow through on commitments
  • Familiarity with adult learning methodologies and training facilitation would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written; Basic knowledge of other languages like Bulgarian or Filipino is considered an asset
  • Very good use of the Microsoft Office suite
